Courtroom Sciences, Inc. and Courtroom Connect Partner To Launch Internet Video Streaming of Mock Trials to Clients

Video streaming allows clients to experience a mock trial without traveling.

DALLAS — Feb 12, 2007 — On Jan. 30 Courtroom Sciences, Inc. (“CSI”) and Courtroom Connect announced the latest innovation in conducting live mock trial jury research. Starting in February, CSI will provide the ability to stream, in a secure environment, the video of mock trials and other types of jury research via the Internet to members of the client’s litigation team. Internet video streaming is available for mock trials conducted at CSI facilities in Dallas, TX, as well as at remote locations all over the United States. The achievement is the result of collaboration between CSI and Courtroom Connect, and ushers in an era in which monitoring jury research is easier, cheaper and more enjoyable than ever before.

“Online video streaming acts as a springboard for realizing the next generation of jury research, and a whole new wave of innovation in devices and software that offer better accessibility and communications, and a more productive, more enjoyable experience all around given the challenges of busy schedules and travel burdens on all of us”, said Brent Dobbs, President of CSI. “This launch will have a dramatic impact on jury research in the long-term.”

A New Era For Live Jury Research
The internet video streaming technology enables clients to view entire presentations securely over the Internet, complete with audio, video, and evidence displayed on a single screen. The proceedings of the mock research are captured by CSI’s on-site audio/visual production crew, and then securely streamed out over the Internet to remote viewers. The streaming capability includes the on-screen display of presentations from any laptop, ELMO, or other digital input so presenters are able to deliver the presentation using any video, graphics, or presentation source. Additionally, the event can be made available on-demand for secure viewing by authorized participants after the presentation is recorded.

The streaming capability is a perfect complement to CSI’s new CaseView tool, which provides online results of questionnaires completed by the jurors during specific milestones of the mock trial. The streaming video and CaseView together allows remote viewing of the proceedings and the collection of reports and analysis that is provided locally at the event. The end result is a complete presentation that enables anyone who can’t attend to experience the research as if they were there first-hand.

“These are amazing tools to assist litigation teams and their clients,” said Robert Kelley, CIO of CSI. “The visual quality is spectacular; and the tools are streamlined and intuitive. They make it much easier to get critical jury research conducted without worrying about all the scheduling hassles and logistical hurdles of traveling to a remote venue. They work together to help you accomplish more throughout the day.”
