New online service provides jury research at the touch of a button
IRVING, TX — Jul 7, 2005 — Attorneys and business executives soon will be able to use the Internet to uncover the strengths and weaknesses in their legal cases before the evidence is ever heard by a courtroom jury. Irving, TX-based Courtroom Sciences Inc. (CSI), which provides litigation consulting and trial support services, is launching a new service called JuryVoiceTM Online Mock Trials.
JuryVoiceTM uses the Internet to store lawsuit evidence online, where it can be accessed over secure connections by attorneys, their clients and online jurors. Once a case is submitted to JuryVoiceTM, the factual elements are reviewed by online jurors who are recruited from the same jurisdiction where the case is scheduled for trial. Each online juror offers his or her view of the case through their home personal computers.
“JuryVoiceTM makes valuable trial consulting services available to every lawyer on every case in an affordable way,” says Woody Norris, Chief Operating Officer of Courtroom Sciences Inc., “From small plaintiff or defense cases, all the way up to multimillion-dollar complex litigation battles, we’re providing a perspective that every lawyer or CEO should have before starting settlement discussions or heading to trial.”
Once online jurors provide their responses, JuryVoice immediately provides mock trial analysis for attorneys and their clients in easy-to-understand language, including useful charts illustrating important jury conclusions.
Unlike traditional mock trials where the trial team and jurors are assembled in person, JuryVoice
TM provides juror opinions at approximately only 1/10 the cost.
“I never thought I could afford to conduct a mock trial," says Dallas attorney Robert Grisham. “But now, JuryVoiceTM provides an affordable mechanism to ensure that nothing is left to chance no matter how large or small the case.”
